ADD-Cryoinox

Engineering development for multiple gas liquefaction and treatment plants, including LNG, Bio-LNG, Liquefied Biomethane (LBM), Liquefied CO₂ (LCO₂), LPG, and condensate facilities across several international markets.

Cryogenic Gas Liquefaction Plants

The Challenge

EIA21 collaborated with ADD-Cryoinox in the development of engineering solutions for several small- and medium-scale cryogenic plants dedicated to the production, liquefaction, and treatment of renewable and industrial gases.

The portfolio included biomethane, Bio-LNG, Bio-CO₂, LNG, LPG, and condensate facilities located across Europe and Asia, developed through a collaborative approach aligned with ADD-Cryoinox’s proprietary cryogenic technologies and engineering methodologies.

A key challenge was the simultaneous execution of multiple international projects, each with different production capacities, technical requirements, regulatory frameworks, and operational objectives.

The most significant challenges included:

  • Adapting to ADD-Cryoinox engineering standards, procedures, and methodologies.
  • Developing facilities based on proprietary cryogenic technologies.
  • Designing highly standardized systems using modular skid-based solutions.
  • Engineering stainless-steel piping networks for small- and medium-scale liquefaction facilities.
  • Coordinating multidisciplinary teams distributed across multiple countries.
  • Providing continuous technical reporting and project support for large-scale international developments, including the Indonesia LNG project.
  • Optimizing modular gas liquefaction solutions to facilitate fabrication and installation.

The Solution

EIA21 became integrated into ADD-Cryoinox’s engineering organization, contributing expertise in detailed engineering, plant interconnections, constructability, and design optimization for cryogenic facilities.

The scope of work included:

  • Conceptual and detailed engineering.
  • 3D modeling and interconnection design.
  • Development of piping, instrumentation, and electrical documentation.
  • Collaboration in the design and optimization of standardized modular skids.
  • Daily coordination through shared collaborative engineering environments.
  • Participation in technical meetings, progress reviews, and reporting activities for international clients.

Results

  • Successful delivery of engineering packages for multiple cryogenic plants across Europe and Asia.
  • Standardization of engineering solutions, simplifying modular fabrication and reducing implementation schedules.
  • Design optimization through EIA21’s expertise in plant interconnections and constructability.
  • Compliance with the technical requirements, deadlines, and quality standards established by the client.
  • Strengthened strategic collaboration between EIA21 and ADD-Cryoinox in international liquefied gas and renewable energy projects.
