The Challenge
The project involved the development of a new TMQ production line within an existing chemical facility, ensuring the integration of complex processes while meeting regulatory requirements and maintaining technical and economic viability from the early project stages.
The main challenge was to evolve the project from a FEL study to a complete construction-ready design, coordinating multiple engineering disciplines and ensuring the successful implementation of a plant with stringent operational, safety, and process control requirements.
The Solution
EIA21 delivered a comprehensive engineering service covering FEL 3, FEED, Detailed Engineering, and Construction Supervision activities.
The scope included:
- Development of FEED engineering and 3D plant design.
- Multidisciplinary Detailed Engineering.
- Technical specification and bid tabulation of equipment and supplies.
- Construction and installation supervision.
- Owner’s Engineering services.
- Support during testing and commissioning activities.
This approach enabled a smooth transition from conceptual definition to execution, reducing uncertainties and optimizing industrial implementation.
Results
The project enabled the successful implementation of a new TMQ production plant with a capacity of 10,000 tonnes per year, meeting all technical, operational, and regulatory requirements of the chemical industry.
Key results included:
- Complete technical definition of the project from FEL through Detailed Engineering.
- Efficient integration of the new plant within the existing facility.
- Controlled project execution through construction supervision and Owner’s Engineering services.
- Optimized planning and multidisciplinary coordination.
- Reduced technical and construction risks.
The project delivered a robust industrial solution aimed at maximizing production capacity and operational reliability in a highly complex chemical manufacturing environment.
